A 17-year-old teen has found a brand-new planet. A new planet has recently been found by a student named “Ulf Cukier” who attends Scarsdale High School in New York, USA.
After his summer break from school, he began a two-month internship with NASA. Within three days of working as an intern, he was successful in discovering a new planet.
It was his responsibility to examine images from satellites that had been sent into orbit in order to look for extrasolar planets.
The BBC quoted him as saying, “I had to look at the fluctuations in the brightness of the stars since I was researching the planets orbiting two stars.”
“We examined other information about those stars and discovered that the light was also diminished at other periods.” After that, the investigation into whether it might be a planet began,’ he said.
Of course, the mysterious object known as “TOI 1338 b” was a planet located far away. Although he found this planet some time ago, NASA has only now acknowledged it.
‘Wolf Cukier’ has recently resumed his studies in New York after finishing his two-month training stint at NASA.
