Life of chimpanzees
One of the closest relatives we have in the animal kingdom are chimpanzees, which are primates. They can be found in the West and Central African rainforests, where they dwell in groups of 10 to 100 people. As omnivores, chimpanzees consume a wide range of things, such as fruits, leaves, insects, and small mammals. They use a range of vocalizations and gestures to communicate and have intricate social structures. The use of tools and the development of social intelligence, self-awareness, and problem-solving skills in chimpanzees have both been observed. They can survive into their 50s in captivity but only live for about 40 years in the wild. Because of the devastation of their habitat and the demand for their flesh, chimpanzees are regarded as an endangered species.

They are adept tool users and use sticks to get food. Although clever and capable of utilizing tools, monkeys lack the chimpanzees’ level of expertise.
