Introduction : The term articles refers to a piece of writing about an event or any particular subject matter in the newspaper or magazine. It can be found in the form of news story, news report and news article. Public views and event news are printed in the magazine or the newspaper.
Parts of News articles
i. The headline
The headline of the news article is the title that shows the gist of the event and views of the public. It is mostly written in block capital, letter so as to catch the attention of reader.
ii. The byline
It is the name of the reporter/correspondent who has written the news. It is written just below the headline. For Example:
Heavy rain causes Dhobi Khola to swell.

iii. The body of news articles
It includes the introduction, description and present state of event or accident. While writing the body of the news articles, the gist of the news should be mentioned in one or two sentences in the introductory part. Detail description of how and why the event took place, should be mentioned in the description part and the present situation of the event or accident as the police arrival and investigation, public slogans and compensation should be mentioned.
iv. The source
It shows the reader where the information in the newspaper comes from. The source may be a person or any newspaper agencies such RSS, PTI, etc.
